Project: Glynde Facility Refresh
Architect: Brown Falconer
Project Value: $7.80 Mill
Harrold & Kite were appointed by Lutheran Homes Group to deliver a comprehensive refurbishment of their Glynde aged care facility, focused on enhancing resident comfort, operational efficiency and overall amenity.
The project included the demolition of the existing Memory Support Unit (MSU) with a complete transformation into a fully refurbished 12-bed wing, with new individual ensuites designed to support high-quality residential care.
A key feature of the works was the redevelopment and extension of Kafe Schulz, now a vibrant and welcoming space that encourages social connection for residents, families and staff. All common areas throughout the facility received a fresh new look with updated painting, floor coverings and finishes, creating a more uplifting and contemporary environment.
All six dining rooms were fully refurbished, refreshed, and refitted with new furniture and finishes, improving both comfort and functionality for residents and staff alike.
New signage was also installed throughout the facility to enhance wayfinding and visual presentation.
Importantly, all work was undertaken while the facility remained in full operation, with no incidents or disruption to resident care.
The project was delivered with meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to excellence, resulting in an outstanding aged care environment that exceeded client expectations.
