Project: New Middle School Building and Multipurpose Hall
Architect: Swanbury Penglase
Project Value: $7.90 Mill
The project delivered a significant new education precinct for St Joseph’s School, enhancing the school’s capacity to support middle years learning. The development comprised of a new two-storey Middle School building incorporating general learning areas (GLAs), a fully equipped science laboratory, a dedicated marker space and flexible internal breakout areas designed to support collaborative learning.
The upper level of the Middle School building also features a large outdoor learning deck, providing a sheltered, open-air teaching space.
The project also included the construction of a new Multipurpose Hall, complete with a public-facing foyer and external canopies, delivering a flexible venue for school events, assemblies and sports activities.
All works were designed and constructed to integrate seamlessly with the existing school environment, with careful programming to minimise disruption to day-to-day school operations throughout the construction period.
